Visual Basic Tutorial: 1-1
By: RadixIntroduction to the workspace
View the Image in new window As you can see there is a very large workspace abailible to you. I will start off by explaining the labeled numbers.
(1) This is the work area where you create your form. All visual parts of your project will be put together
in this window. There are lines leading from the window to the menu.
(2) This is your project explorer.
You will be able to browse your projects in this area. You can select different parts of the project with ease.
(3)
This is the properties window. This is where you define many of the preset variables such as name, font, caption ect. We will
always start by giving each object a name and caption.
(4) This is the menu. All objects you want in
your project will be from this window. They have no special scripting so you must do this yourself later on.
(5)
This is the view code button. This is how we edit the code for an object. You can also edit code by double-clicking the object
you want to script for.
(6) This is the code window. Although you cant see it in the picture it will
pop up on top when you press the view code or double click an object.
